Croft is a charity supporting people in recovery from trauma tucked away in a smallholding in rural Norfolk
We are based on the site of an old croft which developed into a much larger farm. Many of our activities are crofting based traditions. We are developing a programme of intensive, trauma-informed support for people who come to stay with us; typically for a period of up to two years helping them gain the skills, confidence and networks needed to thrive independently. We also host intensive therapeutic short stays and visits to our site for vulnerable groups.
We currently offer supported accommodation with an intensive trauma- informed support. We run a range of therapeutic activities based around our 5 pillars of wellbeing: food, nature, animal therapy, creative activities and talking therapies. We are fundraising to develop a series of micro enterprises with our residents and to partner with services locally working with people affected by trauma.
We will be documenting our work, and the results of it as we go. We will be looking to share practice with and learn widely from, other services helping people navigate trauma.
